Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. A full-time Special Education Teacher position is
available for the 2023-2024 school year in a K-12 school setting
located in Canton, MI. This contract role offers an exciting
opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs in an
inclusive educational environment. Key Responsibilities: - Provide
specialized instructional support for elementary students with
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Cognitive Impairments (CI). -
Manage caseloads including 1 to 2 classrooms in 2nd/3rd grades and
1 classroom in 4th/5th grades. - Develop and implement
Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the
unique needs of each student. - Collaborate with general education
teachers, related service providers, and families to foster student
growth and success. - Monitor student progress and maintain
accurate records in compliance with state education standards.
Qualifications: - Active Michigan Special Education license with
certification in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Cognitive
Impairment (CI) required. - Experience teaching K-12 students in
special education settings, particularly in elementary levels. -
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively
with multidisciplinary teams. - Ability to implement evidence-based
instructional strategies for students with diverse learning
profiles. Location: Canton, Michigan Duration: Contract for the
current school year Start Date: ASAP through June 5, 2026 This role
