Job Description:

• Employee's awareness of their impact on product quality and the importance of their activities in achieving, maintaining, and improving quality, including customer requirements and the risks involved for the customer with non-conforming product.
• Noise & Vibration Testing and Analysis of Intuitive Motion Control Products, such as Electric Power Steering o Conduct component, system, and vehicle measurements, interpret the results, and communicate to the team.
• Noise & Vibration Problem Solving and Design
• Customer interface on NVH problems and concerns
• Provides technical direction to support testing personnel
• Coordinate/Lead Validation and Development NVH testing
• Provide NVH Support for special engineering projects with other departments
• Provide NVH support for Customer Programs and Cost Savings Improvements
• Lead and/or participate in NVH problem solving activities
• Provide support to production facilities for noise troubleshooting activities Provide support to Customer production facilities for noise troubleshooting activities Stays abreast of new technology Skills Required
  • Specialization in Noise and Vibration Measurements and Analysis
  • Advanced understanding of NVH instrumentation and processing equipment
  • Rotating Machinery and structural NVH analysis
  • Strong Digital Signal Processing Proficiency
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual or difficult
  • Understanding of engineering theory & principles of design
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others
  • Training in computer applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Training in Head Acoustics Software, LMS Analysis Software, and/or Signal X Software preferred
  • Training in computer applications including Matlab and LabVIEW preferred
  • Training in CAE software for NVH Analysis such as Abaqus, Nastran, Simsolid, Hypermesh, Simcenter preferred
  • General interest in product design, particularly automotive Skills Preferred
    • Background in music; such as playing an instrument, performing, recording, production Transfer Path Analysis
    • Noise Prediction Techniques
    • Machine Learning
    • Excel VBA/Macros
    • Power BI Experience Required
      • 2-4 years of experience in Engineering
      • 1-3 years' experience in noise and vibration Education Required
        • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Physics with a background in Noise, Vibration, or Acoustics
