Toyoda Gosei North America (located in Troy, MI) has an opening for a Biomechanical Engineering Summer Intern . The R&D/Biomechanical Engineering Intern will assist the Safety Systems engineering team with building and testing prototype safety systems components. Primary Duties and Responsibilities : • Assist engineering team with prototype builds through tracing, cutting, and sewing prototype airbag cushion components • Assist engineering team in creating/modifying CAD (2D mainly) of Safety systems parts using engineering principles • Assist engineering team with setting up and carrying out tests of prototype safety components • Support Tested Parts, reporting and analysis • Lead engineering projects and other duties as assigned Qualifications and Competencies : • Coursework towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Excellent organization, communication and time management skills required • Highly analytical and detail-oriented • Strong desire to learn all aspects of Safety Systems
