average Nurse Leadership role! You will work closely with your
hospital manager to ensure a one team experience for VEGgies,
excellent medical/nursing care and a high level of customer
service. Your success is measured by their success which is
achieved through servant and inspirational leadership!THE
RESPONSIBILITIES: Nursing Excellence!Nursing team workflow and
collaborationManage Day-to-day operations of nursing teamSupervise
nurses, technicians and assistantsSchedule nurse, technician and
assistant shiftsManage nursing payroll budgetsMaximize utilization
of downtimeMaintain VEG culture & valuesInterview & Onboard new
hires (offboarding support as needed)Work in conjunction with
hospital leadershipParticipate in weekly leadership meetingsAddress
patient care issues & interpersonal conflictsImplement VEG Nursing
Guidelines/Policies/ProjectsEnsure team has supplies/tools needed
to perform nursing care excellenceFrontline PartnershipBridge gaps
and unify VEG team membersCollaborate with Medical Director to
establish expectations & maintain standards of nursing
excellenceIncorporate feedback from doctors in guiding the nursing
teamCollaborate with shift leads to identify areas for process
improvementNurse Education/TrainingFoster a learning culture for:
Nurses, Technicians and AssistantsSupport growth of nursing team
membersUtilize in house trainers and other development toolsEnsure
credentialed veterinary nurses maintain licensesParticipate in
nursing team meetings & 1:1 check insDrive development plans and
performance improvementsOrganizes student internships and
externships in coordination with Program Relations ManagerSupport
training opportunities for New ER Nurse enrolleesWHAT YOU NEED:5+
years experience in a clinical Nursing/Technician role2+ years
experience in a leadership roleAS or BS in Veterinary
TechnologyCredentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT,
LVMT) in the location of the VEG practiceAny Veterinary Technician
Specialist is a plus, not requiredCVPM a plus, not requiredWHY YOU
