Specialty Pharmacist Ascension St. Mary's Hospital-- - is adding to

Coordinator.-- - -- -In this role, you will drive Ascension St.
Mary's clinical programs forward.-- - This is a full time role,
with a work schedule that is primarily Monday through Friday, day
shift, but individual projects may dictate other hours
occasionally.Primary responsibilities-- -for this position will be
to:Collaborate with peers on state and national Ascension pharmacy
leadership teams in the review and development of new and ongoing
clinical initiatives.Guide implementation and monitoring of
medication use related initiatives locally.Participate on or lead
local clinical teamsServe as a mentor, educator and resource to
other pharmacy staff membersCollaborate with physicians and other
health care provider as necessary to optimize pharmaceutical--

appropriate selection, dosing, administering, and dispensing of
medication orders in specialized areas, such as nuclear medicine,
oncology, cardiology. Serve as a subject matter expert in pharmacy
discipline and provide guidance across pharmacies and to clinical
leadership.-- -Review and assess medication orders to identify,
prevent and resolve potential and actual drug related
problems.Recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate.Compound
and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients. Provide
drug information and education to medical staff and
patients.Communicate with physicians and other clinicians as
necessary to facilitate care.Oversee technical personnel who assist
in the preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications and
supplies.Assist with academic functions such as serving as a
preceptor for pharmacy students. May float to provide coverage of
pharmacy needs. Provide patient counseling when required. What You
Will Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration:Pharmacist
credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to
hire date or job transfer date required.Education:Bachelor's degree
in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy required. Pharmacy residency
preferred. Additional Preferences: No additional preferences. Why
