Ascension St. Mary's Hospital - is adding to our team of dedicated associates. -Join our team of talented professionals who have a passion for caring as a Surgical Technologist in our main campus Operating Room. - This is a full-time position that works 11am-11:30pm, three shifts per week with a call and holiday call rotation.Ascension St. Marys Hospital is a regional health system offering high quality care in cardiovascular, neurosciences, orthopedics, emergency and trauma, cancer, bariatrics, imaging diagnostics, and primary care. What You Will Do

Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

• Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
• Hand required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor and track instruments counts throughout procedures.
• Assist surgeons provision of hemostasis during surgery.
  What You Will Need
  
  Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.Education:
    • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associates degree, or Technical degree required.
      Additional Preferences
      
      Surgical Technologist program completion strongly preferred.
