We Are Hiring: Ascension St. Mary's Hospital - is adding to our team of dedicated associates. - - - -Join our team of talented professionals who have a passion for caring as a Nursing Assistant on a Cardiovascular Step Down floor-5 South. - This is a full-time position that works 7am-7pm, three shifts per week with a weekend and holiday rotation. -Ascension St. Mary's Hospital is a regional health system offering high quality care in cardiovascular, neurosciences, orthopedics, emergency and trauma, cancer, bariatrics, imaging diagnostics, and primary care. We also support work-life balance and spirituality in the workplace What You Will Do: Perform basic patient care activities to patients in assigned area.

• Assist with treatments ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assist with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
• All other duties as assigned. What You Will Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • Certified BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Certified Nurse Aide preferred. Certificate from a nursing assistant training program or CNA state certification, equivalent education or recent related work experience preferred. Will also consider those enrolled in an accredited RN program with completion of 1 adult clinical rotation.Education:
    • High School diploma or equivalent required. Additional Preferences: No additional preferences.
