Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN)

State License Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Med/Surg
Observation Experience required, recent traveler experience highly
preferred Description: Works under the supervision of the Nurse
Manager. The Staff RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and
supervises individual patient care on the nursing unit according to
established policies, procedures, and guidelines. Accepts
responsibility for the direction of co-workers in the
implementation of the patient’s plan of care. Performs other duties
as assigned. Responsibilities: Provides nursing care using the
Nursing Process by completing a nursing assessment of the patient
and documenting appropriately in the patient chart. Develops a plan
of care based upon the assessment of the patient. Implements the
plan of care and documents in the chart. Evaluates the patient’s
response to care and updates the plan of care. Oversees the
delegation of specifics of the patient plan of care to unit staff.
General Med/Surg patients may include Oncology, Observation,
Hospice, and Medical Surgical patients. Every other weekend and
holiday availability is required.
