Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Saginaw, Michigan. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity Position Overview This role is critical for assessing the needs of patients before and during surgical procedures, ensuring a high level of patient safety and care quality. The Registered Nurse (RN) will outline individualized care plans, implement care strategies, and document patient progress during surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities Patient Assessment and Care Planning (40%): Assess the needs of surgical patients, develop specific care plans, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of care during procedures, and make necessary adjustments to maintain patient safety. Room Supervision and Coordination (30%): Supervise activities within the operating room, anticipate and coordinate any schedule changes, assemble necessary equipment and supplies, assist anesthesia teams as required, and monitor the sterile field. Communication (20%): Maintain clear communication with patients, their families, physicians, the OR team, supervisors, managers, and ancillary departments. Staff Development (10%): Engage in continuous professional development by attending in-services, educational meetings, staff meetings, and other relevant seminars aimed at leadership and growth opportunities. Qualifications At least 2 years of RN experience in the Operating Room. Experienced in Level 2 Trauma situations. Proficient skills in Orthopedics, Vascular, Neuro, General Gynecology, and Urology. Recent travel experience is highly preferred. Additional Information Work Hours: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM Location: Michigan Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Contract Duration: 91 days On-Call Requirement: No On-Call Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend Required Certifications: BLS (AHA) Modern Healthcare Solutions Job ID 34995018.
