Job Description:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:?Performs?Human Resources Generalist functions at a professional level which encompasses a wide range of human resource related functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, training, performance management, mergers & acquisitions, employee communication and change management, IHA satisfaction metrics and other areas as assigned.??ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1.???? Supports the hiring manager with IHA's recruiting and hiring process; including new hire requisitions and position postings, resume review, preliminary candidate screening, scheduling of (and participation in) onsite interviews, pay recommendations, employment offers and candidate follow-up as needed..2.???? Serves as secondary support for new employee on-boarding; including offer letters, reference checks, background checks, scheduling pre-employment New Employee Health visit, closing out posting on position manager, submitting NEN and help desk ticket, conducting new hire employment paperwork meeting (ADP Vantage registration, I-9 E-Verify, etc.).3.???? Actively engages with leadership in assigned division to ensure that timely feedback is provided to newly hired staff ensuring satisfactory performance within the IHA introductory period; HR Business Partner ensures that initial (30, 60) 90-day review is drafted and follow-up with manager is provided to obtain signed copy for file.4.???? Advises leadership in appropriate resolution of less complex employee relations issues, and manages conflicts that arise in a constructive fashion. Partners with manager to determine appropriate course of action, ensures action aligns with IHA policy and office leadership feedback; drafts relevant communications and maintains notes to ensure that issues are appropriately documented.? Seeks guidance from HR Manager for moderate to complex issues.5.???? Provides administrative oversight for the annual performance review process within assigned groups, to include reviewing evaluation drafts, providing guidance to manager regarding ratings, ensuring that relevant comments and/or coaching language is included; ensures follow up for reviews that are under a meets expectations level.6.?????Supports the termination process by reviewing the issue(s) presented, reviews documentation which may support a termination decision, seeks guidance from Human Resources Manager regarding a termination recommendation; drafts communication; may assist with meeting to support communication of the decision to employee.7.?????Ensures the completion of an exit interview with all voluntary terminations within assigned division.8.?????Provides guidance and interpretation regarding IHA Employee Handbook information and/or policies for staff and/or leadership; recommends updates to policy or handbook information based on legal updates and/or changes that are needed to support the organization.? Ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance with federal and state law.9.?????Updates IHA job descriptions as assigned and develops new job descriptions to support assigned business unit.10.??Participates in integration meetings for the merger and acquisitions of physician offices joining IHA and serves as assigned business partner for new offices or department staff.11.??Reviews IHA's provider and staff satisfaction survey metrics within assigned division; works with division and office leadership to support the analysis of information, assists in identifying issues and developing action plans, drafts communications to providers and staff.12.??Serves as a lead or secondary facilitator for IHA Human Resources training, The Customer program, IHA New Employee and Provider Orientation handbook training, and other training as needed.13.??Performs other duties as assigned.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION:? Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience as a HR Generalist.CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE:? Professional certification in Human Resources is strongly preferred.MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:? 5 years' of previous experience in a HR Generalist role, preferably in a healthcare environment with experience dealing directly with healthcare providers.??POSITION REQUIREMENTS (ABILITIES & SKILLS):1.?????Knowledge of legal requirements and reporting regulations affecting human resources functions.2.???? Demonstrated experience in?at least one of the following:? talent acquisition, support of less complex employee?relations issues, performance management, employee communication and/or?change management.3.?????Proficient in operating a standard desktop and Windows-based computer system, including but not limited to, payroll/HRIS software, Microsoft Word and Excel, intranet and computer navigation.? Ability to use other software as required while performing the essential functions of the job.4.?????Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms, including proper phone etiquette.? Ability to speak before groups of people and apply consultative skills to work effectively within assigned areas of the organization.5.?????High level of skill developing and maintaining effective partnerships within assigned division or business unit. 6.?????Demonstrated project management skills; communicates changes and progress.7.?????Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment; courteous, professional and friendly demeanor.8.?????Ability to work effectively with various levels of organizational members and diverse populations including IHA staff, family members, insurance carriers, and vendors. 9.?????Ability to cross-train in other areas of the organization in order to achieve smooth flow of all operations.10.???Good organizational and time management skills to effectively juggle multiple priorities and time constraints in a fast-paced environment. Adapts to changes.11.???Ability to exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills, specifically as it relates to resolving HR and personnel issues.? Analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions.12.???Ability to handle IHA staff, payroll and organizational information in a confidential manner.13.???Successful completion of IHA competency-based program within introductory and training period. ?
