Substance Use Disorder Coordinator GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Under the general supervision of the Chief of Health Services and
Utilization Management, provides overall coordination of substance
use disorder (SUD) planning, service delivery leadership and
integration facilitation throughout the Saginaw County Community
Mental Health Authority (SCCMHA) network, including prevention,
treatment and recovery. Ensures that SCCMHA meets compliance
obligations in all SUD areas. Provides key local community,
regional PIHP and state linkages as appropriate for the scope of
SUD programs and policies for SCCMHA, including for reporting,
ongoing education/training, development and evaluation purposes.
This position will be knowledgeable about and actively support
culturally competent recovery-based practices; person centered
planning as a shared decision-making process with the individual,
who defines his/her life goals and is assisted in developing a
unique path toward those goals; and a trauma informed culture of
safety to aid consumer in the recovery process. Job Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - - Education: - - - Must have either a
Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Professional
Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Psychologist (LP). Valid Michigan
Driver's license with good driving record. - Must be Certified in
Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) Must have or obtain a
Certified Clinical Supervisor-Michigan (CCS) - Experience: - - -
Five (5) years of experience in mental health required. -Must have
demonstrated business, public relations, and/or community
organization skills. Must have the ability to work with varied
levels of organizations and strong written and verbal communication
skills. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - - - Clinical awareness
and sensitivity. General business and effective editing skills.
Computer competency, including word processing, spread sheets,
databases, internet, E-Mail. - Advanced computer skills, including
all Microsoft applications (Competency testing may be required).
Ability to plan and organize work, and provide small group
leadership. Effective oral and written communication skills,
minimum at college level. Ability to organize and maintain data and
information. Problem solving and mediation abilities. Ability to
maintain favorable public relations and provide community
leadership. Ability to exercise independent and mature judgment.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. -Handles varied
confidential or privileged information with discretion and caution.
Ability to work independently and varied hours. -
