Job Description:
DuPont's Healthcare Industries Material Site (HIMS) is seeking a
Manufacturing Technician - Fluids Packager in Hemlock, MI! If you

The Manufacturing Technician - Fluids Packager is responsible and
accountable for the safe and efficient operation of medical grade
chemical producing equipment and all packaging support equipment
required to operate and maintain the complex equipment. As part of
the operations strategy this role will also learn and rotate
through multiple chemical manufacturing areas defined in the
progression framework.
The following are some key responsibilities:
* Rotate through all identified assignments as defined by the
Operations Fluids Progression Model.
* Troubleshoot equipment, process and quality problems. Takes
ownership of analysis of problem and ultimate resolution.
* Able to effectively prioritize the shift activities.
* Able to effectively work with a wide range of people including
other shifts, maintenance, engineers, technical support staff,
quality and EHS.
* Prep and isolate equipment for maintenance. Completes Return to
Operation checks. Write safe work permits.
* Assure compliance with all EH&S requirements related to
assigned roles per plant and site policies.
* Complete compliance checks and routine tasks in OPD.
* Formulate individual goals which align with the plant goals and
execute. Update progress throughout the year.
* Utilize electronic tools (e.g. electronic logbook OPD, office
programs, event and action tool, outlook, MOC).
* Reviews and updates plant operating discipline (procedures) to
capture best practices.
* Participate in plant initiatives (e.g. involvement in teams,
operating discipline improvements, work process implementation,
work process tools).
* Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills and lead and/or
participate in Root Cause Investigations.
* Communicate role related information between shifts and day
staff.
* Relocation and/or Visa Sponsorship (including green card
processing) is not available for this role.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum of a H.S. Diploma/GED required. Advanced technical
training in chemical processing highly preferred.
* Experience working in a Manufacturing environment is preferred.
Previous operating experience in a chemical process highly
preferred.
* Use of all electronic Operate Plant tools is required.
* Work shift schedules: rotating 5 X 24 and overtime every other
weekend
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* This job requires moderate physical capabilities. Typical work
includes:
* Able to climb (stairs and ladders) to gain access to valves,
tanks, silos, truck trailers, and vessels (up to 10% of shift)
* Able to lift 50 lbs.
* Able to drive a fork truck
* Able to bend, squat, and work in various body positions safely
and effectively
* Able to use basic tools (Pliers, wrenches, hand cart, dolly,
etc.)
* Able to work outside in various weather conditions (rain, snow,
heat, etc.)
* Able to provide coverage on weekends, evenings, nights, and
holidays as scheduled, on a regular basis
* Able to work a reasonable amount of overtime (10-20%)
* Able to wear a full-face respirator and impervious protective
clothing for up to 2 hours at a time
* The safe use of fork trucks, condors and the pickup truck is a
requirement.
