Job Description:

Performs building inspections for potentially hazardous materials, conducts indoor air quality investigations, and oversees environmental remediation efforts. These services are performed at our client's sites throughout the State of Michigan.
Specific job duties will include:

• Traveling to client sites (typically this is a day trip but some overnight stays may be required).
  
  • Performs asbestos, lead paint, and other hazardous material building inspections.
    
    • Records fieldwork data electronically.
      
      • Collects, prepares, and ships samples to a qualified laboratory.
        
        • Reviews remediation contractor qualifications and work plans.
          
          • Oversees remediation projects for compliance.
            
            • Conducts air quality sampling and analysis during and after remediation efforts.
              
              • Completes daily reports and documents job site activities.
                
                • Prepares technical reports of our activities following remediation projects.
                  Required Qualifications include:
                  
                  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Construction Management, or similar. We will also consider applicants with a valid Asbestos Building Inspector card or NIOSH 582 training.
                    
                    • Ability to lift 30 pounds.
                      
                      • Keen attention to detail.
                        
                        • Ability to represent our company in a professional and ethical manner.
                          
                          • Work well with contractors to resolve issues.
                            
                            • Ability to work independently as our daily site representative.
                              
                              • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
