Description:Our client is looking to add someone to controls engineering team. They builds custom equipment that mixes, blends, dries, and separates product in a manufacturing setting. A couple of examples could be pastes, fluids, mixes liquids into solids, etc... Could be used in industries that deal with Plastics, Pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and the food and beverage industry. (They once created a dual planetary mixer that mixed rocket fuel for NASA). Reason for looking.....Another controls engineer just left. They were already looking to add one more prior to so now that this person left they are extremely understaffed in this department. start dealing with the design side of things. Responsibility/Job DetailsFIRST main responsibility will be to start using AutoCad Electrical to design the panel and start laying out the wiring diagrams. Start laying out the junction boxes. Start laying out the components for the system in AutoCAD. Provide build of materials to facilitate manufacturing. Help develop cost estimates and timelines....this is a very small part of the overall job. With the material shortage of the world they maybe asked for a substitute if a certain part is not available. After all parts and components are ordered and arrive then help provide some direction to the build technicians on the build floor as things are put together. SECOND main responsibility will then be to start programming the equipment. (Allen Bradley Relay/Ladder logic and discrete PID controller, PLC/HMI interface, Communication links). THIRD responsibility will be that this person must be able to Troubleshoot and Debug the equipment. Must be hands on. Not afraid to work ono the mechanical side of things as well. FOURTH area of responsibility will be the field service portion. This will be very limited but will happen from time to time. Pretty standard is to expect 1 to maybe 2 weeks out of the year. Travel will be a week at a time and home for the weekend. This does however require someone who feels comfortable being in the field, in front of the customer, solving the problem. Must have....* 5-7 years of experience* Controls Engineering* Ability to Program from Scratch* AutoCAD Electrical* Highly Highly prefer someone who has come from some type of automation build, specialty or custom equipment build. Long time Plant Controls Engineers MIGHT have a very tough time on the design and development side of things....the front end of the controls work. Nice to have.....* Bachelors Degree* BSEE* Associates* RS Logix* Labview, Ladder Diagram* Field Service Experience* Panel Building Experience* Factory Talk...this would be a huge plus Communication links* Ethernet...this would be a huge plus Communication linksSkills:Controls Engineer, Autocad Electrical, Programming, Panel Design, Schematics, Ladder Diagrams, Debug, Troubleshoot, Panel Build, Panel Layout, HMI, PLC, AutoCadTop Skills Details:Controls Engineer, Autocad Electrical, ProgrammingAdditional Skills & Qualifications:BSEE would be ideal Someone experienced with Allen Bradley RSLogix500 , RSLogix 5000, LabVIEW, VBA, IEC-61131 Programming languages: Ladder Diagram (LD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), Sequential Function Chart (SFC), Instruction List (IL), and StructuExperience Level:Intermediate Level
