Greif offers a great working environment and the opportunity to make an immediate impact at a company where your ideas are always welcome.Job Requisition #:023110 Mechanic Maintenance Person (Open)Job Description:Performs daily preventive maintenance tasks.Set-up recutting equipment so product can be cut to proper lengths.Solves minor problems and troubleshoots equipment issues.Assures that work performed conforms with quality and safety standards.Recommends improvements, modifications, and ideas for continuous improvement.Utilize equipment such as lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, band saws, etcDevelops safe working habits and works in a safe manner. Becomes familiar with all company safety rules, regulations, and guidelines and practices them at all times. Communicates effectively and professionally with visitors, vendors, customers, Management, and co-workers.Correctly fills out and maintains records, logs and other forms and/or reports as required. Reports problems with machinery, equipment and facilities immediately. Instruct new or existing employees on work methods, procedures, and company policies as assigned by the production manager.Assist and be proactive with fellow employees and outside contractors in the adherence to company safety policies and standards and government regulations. Properly perform mechanical changes and adjustments to machinery and equipment using hand tools including; wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.Execute other responsibilities and projects as necessary/ assigned. Responsible for opening and closing the building when assigned.Responsible for area's Housekeeping and Maintaining a clean safe work environment including leaving the area clean and organized at the end of shift.Perform Dust control measures including cleaning.Maintain fork trucks and perform cleaning to prevent dust build-up.Perform outside duties such as snow removal and landscape improvements.Sharpen saw blades.Perform and document Preventive Maintenance plansComplete assigned projects as directed.Maintain supply crib and spare parts.Perform other duties as directed by the Manager, or as required and necessary in keeping with the efficient operation of the Company's business.40EEO Statement:htps: offer a competitive salary, excellent benefits and opportunity for growth.
