Job Description/Summary WNEM is recruiting for a Producer. This person creates, coordinates, and writes content on a variety of platforms, including broadcast, web, digital, and social media. The Producer displays creativity, aggressiveness, attention to detail, resourcefulness, and team spirit in the pursuit of excellent content for newscasts, online and social platforms. The Producer, in coordination with others, assists with the daily flow of news to the newsroom for appropriate coverage both on-air and on the station's digital platforms. This person gathers meaningful news information from various sources, generates story ideas, checks out credible news tips, schedules news crews and takes in live feeds. This individual is responsible for publishing content on multiple digital platforms, including mobile, online, and social networks. Successful candidates will have solid news judgment, a sound grasp of broadcast and online journalism and a sense of urgency for breaking news. This is a high-pressure, deadline-focused position, which requires a self-starter, who is flexible and has the ability to multitask.
