Shipper

EXCEPTIONAL Metals is looking for an individual who is interested in working in the Shipping Department at our plant in Saginaw, Michigan. This is a full time opening on 1st shift, Monday-Friday and an occasional Saturday.

Position Responsibilities:

• Ability to read and interpret Bill of Ladings
• Verify manufactured goods are correct prior to packaging and follow all packaging standard operating procedures
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of parts prior to shipments leaving
• Operate various types of material handling equipment including a forklift, hi-low, and pallet jack
• Keep work area clean and neat to ensure there are no safety hazards and that the area is presentable for guests
• Using a scan gun to send complete and accurate orders to customers
• All other duties as assigned
  
  Position Requirements:
  
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Able to work in a team and have initiative to get the job done
  • Must be able to pass a pre-hire drug screen, physical, and background check
  • Bend, push, carry, lift up to 50 pounds
  • Available to work up to a 12-hour shift and weekends when necessary
  • Extensive forklift experience preferred
