The Physical Therapist, Level I is responsible to provide a full
range of physical therapy services including assessment, treatment
planning and interventions in a manner consistent with
qualifications and standards of practice. This individual assigns
and supervises technical aspects of patient care as delegated and
supervised to the Physical therapist assistant.

Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program;
Current licensure of Board of Physical Therapy registration
Current licensure in the State of Michigan.
BLS certified or eligible
Preferred: Previous experience. Member of APTA & MPTA
Preferred PM&R - therapy clinic experience in clinical setting
Knowledge of departmental policies, procedures and business
operations and how they interrelate to other departments in the
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to practically apply medical
terminology, CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding, Office computer operations
Third party billing and appeal writing
Knowledge of hospital and/or medical billing rules and insurance
claim filing, insurance and/or account follow-up.
Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology.
Minimal typing skills of 40 words/ minute. Working knowledge and
basic skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email.
Must have strong written and oral communication skills
Must be a team player with the ability to work independently, as
well as in small or large teams

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to maintain punctual attendance consistent with the ADA,
FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
Constant talking and hearing.
Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing,
pulling, stooping, twisting, reaching, and handling.
Occasionally lifting up to 100 lbs.
Occasionally climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, squatting,
crawling, and feeling.
