Job Description:
Description:Behavior Technician (Registered)Our purpose is to
move the next generation of kids with autism to a more independent
and meaningful life and our Behavior Technicians are at the heart
of all we do. As a Behavior Technician, you will work directly with
clients delivering high quality, intensive, ABA interventions under
supervision of the Behavior Analysts (BCBA) who develop each
client's treatment plan.As a Behavior Technician (Registered),
YOU:
- Make a difference. Everything we do is focused on making a
difference in the lives of the kids and families we serve--- and
you're at the heart of our mission. From working one-on-one with
kiddos to deliver direct ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) treatment,
you will support them increasing their skills, decreasing problem
behavior and strengthening the behavioral supports in place. You
will change lives every single day--- now that's work worth
doing!
- Work Collaboratively. Through working closely with the
supervising BCBA and your Behavior Technician colleagues, you will
ensure the highest quality care is delivered. You will support
parent and caregiver training, communicate with parents,
supervisor(s) and your peers to consistently improve treatment
plans. You and your teammates are working together constantly to
make every moment matter for the kiddos you serve.
- Understand the devil is in the details. By collecting data and
documenting client records, you are monitoring progress and
enabling the best possible treatment decisions. Without your
attention to detail, kiddos don't get the care they need, so you
cross every "t" and dot every "I" to bring life-changing treatment
to the families you serve.
- Are a cultural centerpiece. Your interaction with our clients
and families is constant. You ensure they're informed and engaged
in the care you're delivering. Your clients see you as a trusted
caregiver, a helpful resource and a critical part of our team and
Acorn's culture.YOU ARE A:
- Trusted Caregiver. Our team runs on relationships and empathy.
Professionalism and patience are at the heart of building strong
bonds with our clients. But that's not enough. You act not only as
a caregiver, but as a trusted partner, sharing your insights and
perspective in an effort to move your clients forward.
- Positive Teammate. Our job can be challenging some days. You
thrive in an environment that is focused on winning together,
supporting one-another through positive reinforcement and jumping
in when a coworker needs a little extra support. Our team and our
families win when we all work together.
- Fun-Maker. NEWSFLASH--- we work with kids! If you're super
serious, don't like to play games and just want to sit at a desk---
this is NOT the place for you! You thrive in environments that are
focused on fun, while implementing evidence-based treatment.
- Daring Leader. At the Acorn Health, everything we do is
grounded in daring leadership. You bring brave work, courageous
conversations and a whole heart to all you do. Leadership is not a
rank, it's not about being in charge; it's about taking care of
those in our charge. You inspire those around you to dream more,
learn more, do more and become more.Acorn Health Will:
- Listen to you. We need your thoughts, ideas and passion to help
make this the best team in autism care. You talk, we'll
listen.
- Treat you like an adult. We are committed to delivering
high-quality clinical care and we expect you to raise our bar with
your passion and commitment.
- Challenge you. We promise you'll be surrounded by people
equally committed to Acorn Health's mission. You won't find more
passionate people all focused on revolutionizing autism care for
the next generation. The Fine Print: In accordance with the ADA the
