About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced digital large-format Graphics
Production Supervisor/Operator for our Exhibits & Displays group.
Our projects include applications for trade shows, museums, schools
and more. If you have a strong background in all aspects of
large-format graphics and signage, along with a positive attitude,
great organizational skills and strong hands-on skill set, this
position could be a perfect career move for you.
Please note: This is not a graphic designer position. Graphic
design experience is helpful since those skills are used to
preflight, create design templates and manipulate artwork for
output. For this job, you're responsible for making actual signage,
and are involved in installations/production and managing graphics
projects. In addition, you'll be responsible for equipment
operation to cut vinyl, print wide-format images/graphics and
laminate specified jobs.
This is a great opportunity to work on projects ranging from
signage, stage properties, displays and trade show exhibits for
Fortune 500 clients to educational, STEM and historic builds for
schools and museums.
This is an on-site role. You'll work in a friendly, casual
environment at our corporate office in Saginaw Township, close to
shopping and restaurants. You'll also have access to our free

What You'll Do
Manage all aspects of the production and workflow of signs and
graphics; includes scheduling, coordinating labor and materials,
hands-on print production, outsourced graphic production and
quality control
Maintain exceptional quality control and discipline to produce
superior graphics for our clients
Manage inventory levels and maintain relationships with vendors for
substrates, films and supplies
Handle demanding schedules and manage multiple priorities
Provide cost estimates for requested graphics based on input from
stakeholders
Schedule preventive and periodic maintenance and upkeep of printing
and laminating machines and plotters
Maintain production-related files on all department projects
Ensure that all paperwork related to outside purchases is properly
documented and forwarded to accounting and proper stakeholders

Skills for Success:
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
Ability to multitask while maintaining excellent attention to
detail
Highly skilled in using large-format digital printers and equipment
to include roll, vinyl plotters and laminators
Comfortable using Adobe Creative Cloud applications, with specific
strength in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop - both Mac and PC
based
File setup, preflight and problem solving
Design file management and organization
Working knowledge of:
RIP software
Industry substrates and films
Eligibility Requirements
Able to work on site in Saginaw, Michigan
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Five or more years of experience in large-format digital print and
sign production for a commercial sign company, printer or exhibit
house
Three or more years of graphics production supervision
experience
Must be able to:
Reach with hands and arms
Stoop, kneel or crouch
Nice to Have
Trade show and industry knowledge
AutoCAD program experience
Dye sublimation printing and finishing ("sewing")
HP Latex print technology
Onyx RIP software
