Job Description:
Description: Candidate will be in a clean room environment.
Responsible for running CMM and inputting date into excel. Will be
working with Zeiss. Will also be using calipers, digital
micrometers, and hard gages. Parts will be randomly pulled and
brought back tot he room for thourough inspection. --- Assists in
verification, identification, reporting of nonconforming product
and product characteristics --- Communicates findings, regarding
trends or nonconforming parts or processes to appropriate personnel
and participate in corrective action --- Performs receiving, in
process and final (dock) audit inspection --- Supports
first/middle/last off inspection process (press) --- Provides
guidance and technical support to production department ---
Performs internal audits to applicable standards including customer
specifics --- Able to perform as a back up supervisor for
production --- Promote the company's operational visions, values,
goals and behaviours --- Participate in company programs including
G&O, 5S, EOW, Kaizen, meetings, training, etc. --- Conduct all
work activities in a manner that is supportive of a team effort ---
Adhere to all policies, procedures and regulations --- Participate
in the company's health, safety, environmental, and operational
programs --- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, or
his/her designate Skills: inspection, quality assurance,
micrometre, quality control, calipers, Excel, Inspection, visual,
Brown & Sharp, CMM, cmm programming, pc-dmis, ppap Top Skills
Details: inspection,quality assurance,micrometre,quality
control,calipers,Excel Additional Skills & Qualifications: Must
have- min 2 years inspections, GD&T, control plan experience.
Control plan tells the operators what we are supposed to do, it
will have each step of the process and list any controls in place
(quality, equipment checks etc ). Something the QTs will need to
audit every once in a awhile. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS --- Working
knowledge of Core Tools (MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA) ISO 9001,
IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria --- Minimum
partial completion (50% program) of Mechanical Engineering Diploma
or other relevant post secondary certificate program (asset) ---
American Society Quality Engineering Certification (asset) ---
Working knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret blueprint
requirements --- Proficient computer skills; quality software
applications including PCDMIS, OpenDMIS, MPACT, ASI Datamyte Gage
Metrics and statistical software such as MiniTab (asset);
proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word --- Must be able to work
independently with minimal supervision Education Completion of high
school or G.E.D Experience Minimum 2-3 years of experience in
automotive, press stamping and/ or manufacturing environment
